Ondo State Begins 2026 Promotion Exercise for 3,000 Workers

The Ondo State Government has officially commenced the Ondo State promotion exercise 2026, targeting over 3,000 public servants across the state workforce. The exercise, flagged off in Akure by the Head of Service, marks a significant step in improving civil service welfare and boosting productivity.

According to the Head of Service, Bayo Philip, the eligible workers have completed the mandatory three-year waiting period required for promotion and have been carefully screened for the process. He explained that the exercise includes interviews to assess candidates’ readiness for higher responsibilities.

The initiative reflects the commitment of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to ensuring regular promotion of civil servants without delay. Unlike some states where promotions are often postponed or implemented without financial benefits, Ondo State has maintained a consistent record of timely promotions. The government believes this approach will enhance morale, improve service delivery, and strengthen the efficiency of the public service system.
