Peller Responds to Palace Breach Allegations and N395m Legal Case

TikTok influencer Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has broken his silence regarding claims of an unauthorised visit to Oba Ewuare II’s palace and a N395 million lawsuit filed against him.

During a livestream, he denied any wrongdoing, insisting that he followed instructions and was unaware of breaking any rules.

Palace Visit Raises Tensions

On March 6, 2026, Peller visited the Benin Palace, which the Benin Traditional Council described as a violation of palace protocol. The council said the visit was unauthorised and resulted in disciplinary actions, including suspending a chief and prosecuting palace staff.

Peller explained: “My manager told me to visit the Oba’s palace. I didn’t know about any rules. I was respectful. My hands are clean.”

Legal Action in Lagos

In a separate issue, Peller faces a N395 million lawsuit from Lagos resident Osarobo Odigie. She alleges defamation, cyber harassment, and invasion of privacy after a video featuring her was shared without consent.

She seeks N200 million for defamation, N100 million for emotional trauma, N75 million for cyberbullying, and N20 million for legal costs.

Peller responded: “I can’t pay that amount. It feels like people want me to go broke. I’m just a young creator asking for guidance and understanding.”
